The Extraordinary Life of Champlain’s Jehudi Ashmun (1794 – 1828) with Helen Nerska. Born and raised in Champlain, New York, Jehudi Ashmun went on to help the American Colonization Society successfully establish Liberia. The story of his journey from Champlain to Liberia is the story of the life of an extraordinary man from the North Country.
